Fallsburg’s Future:
|
FF Update from October 25, 2016
First Public Meeting for Town’s Comprehensive Plan THURSDAY OCTOBER 27 at 7 p.m. South Fallsburg Youth/Senior Center 12 Laurel Ave, South Fallsburg We at Fallsburg’s Future call your attention to the first of a series of public meetings of the Comprehensive Plan Committee(CPC). These gatherings will consider Fallsburg residents’ concerns and the changes we feel are needed to preserve the character and integrity of our community. We strongly encourage all residents of Fallsburg to attend this and every meeting of the CPC with the intention to identify specific proposals that will ensure our town’s healthy development in the years ahead. As you know, the Town Board instituted a yearlong Moratorium on authorization of proposed large-scale residential developments, 22 in all. With the Moratorium as a timeframe, the CPC, established onAugust 22 and comprised of residents* with very different views about the town’s development, has nine months to come up with concrete changes in the by-laws and regulations that oversee residential, business and infrastructure development and protect our environment. Please forward this Update to interested friends and neighbors. Tell them to sign up on our website – www.fallsburgsfuture.org. *Members of the CPC Steering Committee include: Steven Altman Eric Boles Rabbi Lawrence Zierler Mike Weber Gerald Skoda Allison Brundage Ellyane Hutchinson Rebecca Pratt Joe Rausch THURSDAY OCTOBER 27 at 7 p.m. South Fallsburg Youth/Senior Center 12 Laurel Ave, South Fallsburg We at Fallsburg’s Future call your attention to the first of a series of public meetings of the Comprehensive Plan Committee(CPC).
